History
Ultracongelados Virto, S.A. goes back to 1972, when it first went into operation, marketing fresh fruits and vegetables both in Spain and internationally from a small warehouse in the town of Azagra (Navarre).
As a result of continuous demands from our customers for frozen products, in 1984. the company established the group's first deep-frozen food production centre, also in Azagra.
From that year onwards, the company began expanding and setting up "speciality centres" in strategically positioned areas:
1984 Ultracongelados Virto, S.A. Badina Centre in Azagra (Navarre)
1986 Ultracongelados de Cortes, S. L. in Cortes (Navarre)
1993 Ultracongelados de Azarbe, S. A. in El Raal (Murcia)
1994 Ultracongelados Virto, S. A. Head Office in Azagra (Navarre)
1994 Ulbasa, S.A. in Badajoz
1995 Ultracongelados del Oja, S. A. in Santo Domingo de la Calzada (La Rioja)
2000 Ultracongelados del Duero, S. L. in Sancho Nuño (Segovia)
2000 Frinalco, S. L. in La Joyosa (Zaragoza)
All production centres make considerable investments every year in technological innovation and in developing new products.
